Dears Sirs, I am currently working abroad but will be back shortly and in need of a car. I am looking for about £7000 and looking at your car finance calculator I am hoping that you can get my monthly payment to around £250 for someone who has poor credit. I looked at your car finance bad credit page and it says that you can help with bad credit history but still get a reasonable APR which sounds good. I have also been out of the country for about 2 years but do own a house here which I have been renting out. I have a deposit to put down of £2000 and have a good income but did miss a few payments on my mortgage while I was away because my tenants let me down. Please email me back if you feel you can help. Regards, Julian.

Hi Julian and thanks for your email regarding bad credit car finance.

You’ve definitely come to the right place as we specialise in giving help and advice to people who might have had a few financial problems in the past and may have a bad credit history.

£250 a month over a term of 48 months should be easily achievable from what you have told us and with your deposit you could look at cars up to £9000.

Maybe have a look online before you get back to give you an idea of what cars you could buy. As long as they are no older than 8 years old and not to high mileage we will be fine.

The lenders that we can introduce you to for car finance bad credit will provide a £7000 loan with an APR somewhere between 18% and 35% depending on a credit search. For more information please visit our bad credit car finance page.

Why not complete our easy online application form or give us a call on 0800 066 2888 if you have any questions
