Design

If you’re looking for a stylish, contemporary and compact SUV, then the Vauxhall Mokka definitely delivers. Its muscular lines, bold chrome front grille and subtle rugged styling add to its aesthetic appeal – and the cabin won’t disappoint, either.

Thanks to its shape and size, you’ll find an abundance of headroom inside and the functional interior makes use of its robust plastics and handy storage bins – as well as providing easy access for those with families. The large 356 litre boot comes with a flat load lip, so getting heavy or awkward loads in and out is easy – and the rear seats fold completely flat for when you require extra space.

Performance & Handling

When it comes to driving, the Vauxhall Mokka’s light and responsive steering makes it the perfect companion for travelling around town. All engines are capable and flexible, and the choice of two or four-wheel drive with the 1.4 litre turbocharged petrol or 1.6 litre CDTi engines mean you can take on the most rugged of terrain.

When it comes to running costs, the petrol engines are more suited to shorter journeys. The 1.4 litre will deliver 44.1mpg and emits 149g/km of CO2 – in comparison to the 1.6 litre, which returns 43.5pg and emits 153g/km CO2.

If you’re looking for the best engine in terms of economy, the 1.6 litre CDTi diesel with EcoFLEX is the way to go. This engine returns an impressive 68.9mpg and with CO2 emissions of just 109g/km, road tax is a reasonable £20 a year.

Features

Vauxhall offers a ‘Lifetime’ guarantee up to 100,000 miles – so you’ll get bags of standard kit as well as added peace of mind. From the Exclusiv upwards you’ll get dual-climate control, DAB digital radio, USB connectivity, cruise control, electric folding door mirrors, all-round parking sensors and 18 inch alloy wheels.

If you’re on the hunt for a touch more tech, the mid-level Tech Line adds a Sat Nav system – while the range topping SE will get you heated front seats and steering wheel, as well as leather upholstery throughout.
