Review: SEAT Alhambra MPV

April 9, 2015

We’re back with another review, and rolling onto the Car Loan Warehouse’s radar today is the new SEAT Alhambra MPV. A sturdy, multifunctional vehicle, this car has plenty to shout about. In today’s SEAT Alhambra review, we’ll take a look at what makes the Alhambra an impressive multitasker and then show you how you could get your hands on a mighty MPV of your own. Let’s dive in!

Design

While the Alhambra might appear expensive, it’s cheaper than its mechanically identical twin, the Volkswagen Sharan. In terms of design, the SEAT Alhambra is made for flexibility. The seats in the rear of the car are individual and, in the centre row, they can recline, slide and fall forward – making it easier to gain access to the back row seating. Optional sliding doors for the rear mean getting out of the Alhambra is a breeze – even in tight parking spaces. The roomy interior continues into the boot, with the floor providing ample sleeping space for two (if you so desire) when all the seats are folded flat.

When it comes to storage, there’s plenty of space for everyday items. Large door bins, a decent sized glove box and centre arm rest can all be used for carrying in-car essentials – and it’s comfortable, too! The raised driving position provides all round clear visibility and makes for a comfortable ride on journeys of any length.

Performance & Handling

While it might be tall and not the easiest car to navigate around town, this SEAT still manoeuvres well around corners. When it comes to performance, the Alhambra is available with a 138bhp or 168bhp 2.0 litre diesel engine and, while the more powerful of the two certainly feels quicker, the 138bhp version is surprisingly nippy for such a big family car. Whichever engine you choose, the Alhambra is smooth and quiet, with well-weighted steering and responsive suspension – making for a comfortable drive on all counts.

Features

Equipment in this MPV is generous, with even the basic spec SEAT Alhambra coming with tri zone climate control and Bluetooth as standard. If you’re looking for luxury, the top of the range SE Lux comes loaded with equipment – including heated front seats and a panoramic sunroof.

SEAT Alhambra MPV Finance

Coming in at £25,630, this SEAT might seem a bit steep, but the benefits speak for themselves. If you’re looking for a ride you can rely on but don’t have the money to secure your MPV, our range of flexible finance options can help. At the Car Loan Warehouse, we offer secure SEAT Alhambra MPV finance to suit any budget – with payments that you can afford.
