Motorbike Mondays: Suzuki Hayabusa

March 23, 2015

It’s Monday again and we have just the ticket to get you revved up after the weekend. In today’s installment of Motorbike Mondays, we’re taking a look at the legendary Suzuki Hayabusa. The Hayabusa rose to fame as the world’s fastest production motorcycle in 1999 – and to this day, it’s easy to see why die-hard motorsport fans around the world remain very much in love with this superbike.

If you want to be speeding off on this sporty Suzuki but don’t have the funds to finance your own must-have motorcycle, the Car Loan Warehouse can help. But before all that, let’s see what makes this bike so desirable in our Suzuki Hayabusa review.

Design

Racing onto the motorbike market more than a decade ago, Suzuki made waves with their launch of the Hayabusa. While the brand has continued to update the bike’s styling, its concept remains the same – a super sporty motorcycle which focuses on speed, without detracting from comfort or handling. Other Suzuki Hayabusa reviews claim it will always be the ultimate sportbike, and we’re inclined to agree!

Although it may appear intimidating at first, the Hayabusa isn’t nicknamed the ‘Gentleman’s Bike’ for nothing. With its smooth suspension and streamlined design – when it comes to Suzuki motorcycles, the Hayabusa has the edge.

Performance and Handling

When it comes to performance, the mighty Hayabusa stands head and shoulders above the competition. Accelerating like a rocket, the 2014 Suzuki Hayabusa’s top speed ranges from 188 to 194 miles per hour – making it easy to see why this motor has gained fame among the top super sport motorcycles.

Suzuki Hayabusa specs:

  • 1340cc 4-cylinder engine
  • 16 valve Twin Swirl Combustion Chambers (TSCC)
  • 197 bhp @9500 RPM
  • 6-speed transmission

Despite its intimidating performance specs, the Hayabusa offers a dynamic and versatile ride. Its low centre of gravity ensures excellent handling all around – and the Suzuki feels as comfortable on the track as it does cruising around on city streets, making it a perfect commuter bike.

Features

Speed is not all this Suzuki has to offer. Some of the bike’s most impressive features include:

  • Twin headlights – make for better visibility when driving
  • Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) – this function allows engine settings to be altered depending on riding conditions or rider preferences
  • Optimized 6-speed transmission – reduce mechanical noise when driving at motorway speeds
  • Antilock Brake System (ABS) – helps to reduce the risk of wheel locking due to excessive braking or because of changes in road surfaces
  • Brembo Monobloc calipers – added in 2014 for high performance braking
  • Suzuki Clutch Assist – a lighter pull on the clutch, eliminates clutch slip
  • Idle Speed Control (ISC) – improving on cold starting, this system helps the engine in various weather conditions
  • Suzuki Pulsed-secondary AIR-injection (PAIR) – helps with efficiency by reducing CO2 emissions

Suzuki Hayabusa Finance

Roaring onto the road at £10,999, the Hayabusa is surprisingly reasonable considering its high-end performance specs. But not everyone has 11k to spare – and that’s where we come in. We don’t think money should hold you back from the bike of your dreams and, at the Car Loan Warehouse, we offer a range of Suzuki motorcycle finance – with payments that you can afford. Still unsure?
