It’s time to get the show on the road for the second edition of WAGmobile Wednesdays, where we bring you celebrity wives’ and girlfriends’ cars from the sublime to the downright ridiculous. This week’s WAGmobile is a classic – the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon is one of the most popular celebrity drives of all time, and it’s not hard to see why!

Living up to their reputation as one of the best-selling luxury automakers in the world, Mercedes-Benz haven’t missed a trick with the G-Wagon, a full-size luxury SUV. With its dynamic performance, rugged design and power, this beast can tackle any terrain in serious style. This makes the G-wagon a natural fit for Kris Jenner, mother hen of the Kardashian clan and all around reality TV pimp.
Kris has been spotted cruising the streets of Tinseltown in the custom G-Wagon which, much like Kris’ face, has received a few nips and tucks of its own. Perhaps the ‘custom’ look is the uniting factor which makes them such a good pairing. Her car’s matte black paintwork ties in with her signature monochrome style – matching her jet black hair. The G-Wagon’s blacked out windows mean that we’ll never know whether Jenner’s wheels are decked out with Kardashian monogrammed upholstery or even the Swarovski gear knob found in her Lamborghini and Bentley – but we like to think so.
The G-Wagon is available with a choice of two engines, including the fuel conscious G350 BlueTec for the standard model and the monstrously powerful G63 AMG. The nifty G350 BlueTec uses a 211 bhp V6 to keep the heavy G-Wagon up to speed. However, the real pick of the lineup is the AMG model, using a supercharged 5.4L V8 to generate 544 bhp – that’s more than double the output of the base model!
If you fancy getting your hands on the G-Wagon, you better dig deep. The entry level model is priced at £83,830 – and if it’s the AMG you’ve got your sights set on, you’ll need £124,000!
