The Car Stars Of Transformers 4: Age of Extinction

May 16, 2014

Paramount pictures have released the latest trailer for this summer’s biggest blockbuster, Transformers 4: Age of Extinction, due to be released in early July in the UK. The Michael Bay film is set to be a masterpiece of all things action and adrenaline. The fourth film in the franchise will feature an entirely new cast with Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci taking up centre stage for the lead roles in the explosive action film. Rumoured to have a production budget of £100 million, Transformers 4 is sure to be action-packed!

But let’s take a look what we’re really interested in – the real stars of Transformers 4 – the cars playing the Transformers themselves of course!

Lamborghini Aventador

The menacing matte black Lamborghini is making it’s debut in the Transformers series as ‘Lockdown’ a rogue, bounty hunter without allegiance to Megatron or the Autobots. We can’t wait to see the Aventador in action!

Pagani Huayra

The role of ‘Stinger’ – an evil decepticon – has been given to Pagani’s brand new Huayra. The 6.0L V12 gives it the perfect punch for the role, don’t be fooled by it’s elegant looks, the Huayra is a beast – producing 730bhp!

Chevrolet Camaro

We smell some Chevrolet sponsorship going on here, as the character of Bumblebee takes on multiple versions of the Camaro, from classic to concept. However, our favourite of the bunch is this highly modified classic 1967 Camaro – pure American muscle at its best.

Bugatti Veyron

Making his debut in Transformers 4, the character of Drift will be portrayed by the £2 million Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse edition – let’s hope it didn’t get damaged during filming – that would be one expensive repair! The monstrous Bugatti produces a staggering 1200bhp from its 8.0L 16 cylinder engine – and is sure to kick some serious Decepticon-ass!
