Vauxhall Vivaro Van Finance
The Vauxhall Vivaro was launched in 2001 by the German automaker Opel and is sold in most European markets under the Opel name. It is now primarily manufactured at GM Manufacturing Luton in Luton and by Nissan in Barcelona, Spain. It is a medium sized light commercial vehicle available in several configurations: panel van (most popular), a 12-seat minibus, a 9-seat combined bus/van and platform crew-cab. It is a sister van of the Renault Traffic and Nissan Primastar as all three vehicles are rebadged LCVs created from a joint venture. In Great Britain, the van won the Professional Van and Light Truck Magazine Van of the Year 2006 award.
Even though Vivaro is one of the oldest vans in its class, it is still competitive in terms of dimensions, as well as payload. It has been through a series of updates, the most important of which was in 2006 when the vehicle got a new look and better engines. It is available in two different wheelbase styles, two roof height options and two gross vehicle weights as well as three diesel engine power options and a petrol engine. It has a maximum 8.7 cubic metres of load volume and a payload range of between 1016kg and 1271kg. It can accommodate a standard Europallet, as it has 1,268mm between the wheel arches. You can also choose from double rear doors, a tailgate, a nearside and offside side access door, and a full height bulkhead. The standard post-2006 six-speed manual transmission helps maximise fuel consumption and reduces interior cabin noise.
Thanks to Vauxhall’s Ecoflex models which give means emissions as low as 174g/km and economy as strong as 42.7mpg, the van is cheap to run. It’s also environmentally-friendly, using efficient and extremely low-emission Euro 5-compliant engines. From March 2013, all Vivaro models have moved to two year service intervals or 25,000 miles or oil life quality monitor warning, whichever is sooner.
Vivaro is modern-looking inside, comfortable and very practical. There’s room enough for three in the cab, the gear stick is dash mounted and easy to use, and the dashboard is hooded so there are no reflections in the windscreen. There’s plenty of storage space and all the instruments are clear and well laid-out. Options include sat-nav, air-con, a tailgate and a range of stereo systems. All models come with standard ABS and brake assist for emergency situations. However, unlike its competitors, it doesn’t offer electronic stability control (ESC) as standard.

In 2013, Vauxhall Vivaro sold 18,177 units in the UK, and mid-2013 it was the second biggest selling van. It has become one of the most popular vans in Europe in the sub-2.9-ton class. Since its launch in 2001, well over 560,000 units have rolled off the assembly line in Europe.
