Review: the Alfa Romeo 4C

January 8, 2015

Ever since Alfa Romeo was established in 1910, the brand has been known for creating flamboyant cars that turn more than a few heads. Although the Italian car company has reigned it in a little in recent years, the release of the all-new Alfa Romeo 4C marks a spectacular return to form. This new sports car is guaranteed to leave you weak at the knees – and in today’s review, we’re taking a closer look at the new Alfa Romeo Sports car: the Alfa Romeo 4C.

Design

Sports cars come in all shapes and sizes, but the new Alfa Romeo 4C is just perfect – and everything you’d expect a sports car to be. With a curvy, voluptuous and seriously sexy exterior, this is a textbook supercar. Granted, the low seats aren’t the easiest to get into or out of – but once you’re behind the wheel, climbing out will be the last thing on your mind.

Features

The Alfa Romeo 4C’s driving performance is its key feature, so this tremendous two-seater focuses on providing an unparalleled ride. Sitting just in front of the engine is exhilarating – offering the feeling of riding right on top of it. The engine sounds beautiful too, just as you’d expect from such a glamorous car. The all-aluminium 1,750 cc turbo engine is right there with you in the cabin when you blast down the road. It boasts 250bhp and returns a very decent 30.8 mpg, which is an excellent figure for a certified sports car.

Performance

The Alfa Romeo 4C is a car made for the open road – and you won’t be satisfied below 40mph, although the car handles just as well at low speeds as it does tearing up the tarmac. Blasting down the road ahead, the Alfa Romeo 4C takes you from 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds. And with a top speed of 160mph, this Italian stallion is guaranteed to please. The steering is crisp and the breaking is tight – put simply, the Alfa Romeo 4C is a dream to drive.

A beautiful design and a treat to drive, the 4C surely can’t be cheap? Think again. The Alfa Romeo 4C price tag starts at £45,000, which is seriously affordable for a car of this calibre. But if you’re over budget, the Car Loan Warehouse is here to help.
