Design

Despite finding itself in a competitive class, the Citroen C5 is up there with the most comfortable family saloons – with more than enough shoulder, head and legroom for the driver and passengers.

Standard boot capacity is 439 litres and there’s a glove compartment for small essentials. If comfort is high on your priority list, this family-friendly ride might be right up your street.

Performance & Handling

Great suspension helps the Citroen C5 navigate around uneven roads with ease – and while there are no petrol engines available, the diesel lineup delivers what most C5 drivers will be looking for.

The entry-level 113bhp 1.6 litre has a 0-62mph time of 11.6 seconds and keeps CO2 levels low, emitting just 117g/km. The 160bhp 2.0 litre HDi brings the best blend of efficiency and velocity – returning 50mpg and managing 0-62mph in 9.1 seconds.

Features

Across the board, comfort seems to be key in the Citroen C5 – and even the entry-level VTR model impresses, bringing with it cruise control and air conditioning.

Stepping up to the VTR+ trim adds dual-zone climate control, alloy wheels and Bluetooth connection. The range-topping Exclusive spec comes with electric front seat adjustment and parking sensors – making it easier to park in the city.
