Triumph Herald for sale “With one careful lady owner”
So careful in fact that she never used it and the car still has delivery mileage of 20 miles on the clock 52 years later.
It even has its original 1961 tax disc in the screen which at the time cost just £15 a year.
The Herald which is blue and white was originally delivered to it’s owner’s house by trailer and stored in the garage. It is thought the Triumph’s owner suffered from ill health and never got around to using it on the road. Years later it was sold back to the garage who supplied it and kept it as part of their private collection.
It is now going to be put up for sale later this month and expected to fetch between £12,000 and £15,000 at East Anglian Motor Auctions.
