1. Mercedes AMG GT
Coming with an all-new 4.0-litre Bi-Turbo V8 engine, the Mercedes AMG GT supercar is certainly set to tear up the tarmac. This striking supercar comes with an aluminium spaceframe chassis and an SLS-inspired silhouette. Two levels of the GT will be offered, with the faster climbing from 0-60 mph in just 3.8 seconds and pushing out a colossal 503 bhp. This sexy beast will be released in early 2015 with a starting price of approximately £110,000.
2. Volkswagen Golf Alltrack
Due for a UK release in summer 2015, the rugged Golf Alltrack is the latest addition to the Volkswagen lineup. Coming with all the practicalities of the popular Golf Estate, the Alltrack has been designed to tackle any terrain. This off-roader will be launched with a range of turbo-charged four-cylinder engines, kitted out with Volkswagen’s fresh all-wheel-drive 4motion system. You won’t have to dig deep, either, as prices will start from an affordable £23,000.
3. Land Rover Discovery Sport
We’ll be saying goodbye to the Freelander, when Land Rover’s new baby arrives in early 2015. Coming with 7 seats, the Discovery Sport is kitted out with the latest extras, keeping you at the forefront of cutting-edge tech. A 2.2 litre 187 bhp turbodiesel engine comes as standard, with an eD4 turbo-diesel engine arriving later in 2015, putting out impressively low CO2 emissions. The Discovery Sport can be yours from a bargain £32,395 – and we think it’s worth every penny.
4. Mazda MX-5
With a 25-year run, the Mazda MX-5 is no stranger to the motoring world. Now in its 4th generation, the world’s most popular roadster is sharper and more aggressive than ever. This 2-seater sports car has shed over 100kg in weight and features revolutionary SKYACTIV technology. Engine options have yet to be revealed, but the new MX-5 will go on sale early 2015, with a starting price of around £20,000 – similar to the current model.

5. Jaguar XE
Made to rival the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C-Class and Audi A4, there’s no denying the Jaguar XE is a serious contender. This sporty saloon is the first in the brand’s history to use electric power steering – and is the most efficient Jaguar to-date, with CO2 emissions dropping as low as 99 g/km. Starting from £27,000, the XE comes with a range of equally beastly engines and arrives on the markets early next year.
