The SEAT Ibiza shares its mechanical DNA with the VW Polo, so there are no surprises under the bonnet. Thanks to its most recent facelift, the SEAT Ibiza now benefits from a more modern cabin and high quality interior finish. Drivers of any shape and size should be able to find a comfortable driving position, thanks to the adjustable seat and steering wheel – and the rear of the car can comfortably accommodate two adults.

In terms of storage, the SEAT Ibiza offers door bins, centre-console storage and a glovebox – and boot space is a generous 292 litres, which extends to 847 litres when the rear seats are lowered. If you’re in need of extra space, you might want to consider the SEAT Ibiza ST estate – which offers a huge 1,164 litres of storage capacity, making it ideal for carrying large items of luggage.

Performance & Handling

The SEAT Ibiza comes with an impressive engine lineup, factoring in power, fuel economy and efficiency. The 103bhp 1.2 litre TSI petrol is an adequate performer – but if speed is a priority, the 1.4 litre will sprint from 0-62mph in a scorching 8 seconds.

If you’re looking for the best combination of price and performance, opt for the 1.6 litre TDI diesel – which claims a fuel economy figure of up to 60mpg. The cleanest engine in the range is the 1.2 litre Ecomotive, which returns 81mpg and emits just 92g/km of CO2 – making it road tax-free.

When it comes to kitting out your SEAT Ibiza, the options are endless – with generous equipment across the range. The entry-level model comes with electric front windows and air conditioning – while a step up to the SE spec adds Bluetooth connection, electrically adjustable door mirrors and alloy wheels. If climate control, a rear-view parking camera and leather trim finish are high on your priority list, opt for the I-TECH trim.

Completing the lineup is the FR model. If you’re willing to pay the price, this trim adds parking sensors and automatic safety systems to assist with braking – helping you avoid low-speed collisions. Thanks to an extensive options list, if you’ve got the cash to splash, you can upgrade to the Technology Pack for an additional £450.
