Geneva Motor Show 2015

For devoted motorheads far and wide, the Geneva Motor Show is the place to be – and this year’s medley of motors didn’t disappoint. While sexy supercars often hold the spotlight, this year, the Ford Focus RS shone on its own merit. So what made the brand new Ford this year’s  central focus?

Design

The Ford Focus RS is back and it means business. Available in Stealth Grey, Absolute Black, Nitrous Blue and Frozen White, there’s an entire spectrum of sexy paint jobs to choose from – and this rip-roaring ride has more than good looks to brag about.

We can’t talk about design without mentioning the new four-wheel drive transmission. Despite adding some extra weight to the motor, it’s justified and optimises traction. In other areas, the front bumper, rear spoiler and grille have all received makeovers to add to the athletic exterior. Slick 19 inch alloys and a sizeable tailpipe give the car a ‘hefty’ appearance, but it works.

Features

The standard Ford Focus RS comes with plenty of sporty styling. Brembo brakes, 19 inch alloys and Recaro sports seats are all included – and for those wanting a more eye-catching interior, Recaro bucket seats and Sat Nav options are available. Outside, the rear end has an upgraded spoiler, while the bumper and lights retain the style of previous models.

Performance

For the new Ford Focus RS, 2016 is about efficiency. With this in mind, the standard 2.3 litre EcoBoost engine will have you hitting the road in no time. In turn, this efficient engine has improved handling and grip.

Amazingly, the focus on technological updates doesn’t detract from the driver experience. Whether you choose to drift or go for gold on the open road, driving remains fun yet controlled. With a range of exciting innovations, the new Focus is set to be the most powerful performer to date.
