Design
The V-Strom 1000 Adventure’s design was inspired by Suzuki’s first big on/off-road machine, the 1988 DR750S. The bike comes with a slim, lightweight frame – but despite its appearance, Suzuki have warned that the bike isn’t suitable for off-road riding. The Antilock Brake System (ABS) and traction control seem to support this statement, as neither are optimised for off-road capability. A broad seat and upright riding position make the bike easy to ride as well as being rather comfy. The angle of the windscreen has three adjustable positions, allowing the rider to find the best visibility option for them – even while riding.
Performance and Handling
In terms of performance, the V-Strom 1000 Adventure is an easy-to-handle, rider-friendly bike. With strong acceleration and impressive braking power, this bike will be right at home on the road. The traction control system, a first for Suzuki, coupled with the ABS provide welcome assistance in challenging road conditions.
