When it comes to looks, the Lexus NX has plenty of eye-catching appeal – with the enormous spindle-shaped grille and sharp lines making it look slick, aggressive and ready to drive. Climb inside the cabin and refinement and comfort make for an impressive interior – with body-conforming seats and plenty of gadgets within your reach.

Performance & Handling

With a choice of a petrol or petrol-electric hybrid engine, this car isn’t for diesel lovers. However, the 2.5 litre petrol-electric hybrid of the Lexus NX300h is surprisingly impressive, with a score of 0-60mph in 8.3 seconds, a fuel economy of 56.5mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 116g/km.

If you’re on the hunt for a touch more power behind the wheel of this stylish and practical crossover, then the Lexus NX200t should be on your hit list. As the first Lexus turbo-charged engine, this petrol only NX will do 0-60mph in 6.9 seconds and claims 35.8mpg.  CO2 emissions are higher than in other models but it makes up for it with impressive motorway acceleration.

With the choice of five trims – S, SE, Luxury, F Sport and Premier – there’s plenty to customise, but even the standard entry Lexus NX is packed with equipment. All versions include alloy wheels and dipped beam headlamps as standard, as well as dual-zone climate control, DAB Digital radio and USB phone connector. If you want a sportier feel, the standard race inspired interior that features in the NX200t and F Sport is the way to go.

If you’re willing to splash the cash, you can bag yourself a tilt-and-slide moon roof with the Premium package or get a true Lexus experience with the Luxury package’s power open/close rear door, heated steering wheel and leather interior.
